One day I would like to write a book about how to remain positive in stressful situations. It’s a skill I acquired that has allowed me to get through the toughest moments; Not only in work, but in my personal life. In my spare time, I like to write in my personal blog. It’s located on the menu bar, on the top right hand corner of this page. Please refer to the blog link to review some of my work. I came up with the pen name “The Modern Charm” one day when I was listening to Frank Sinatras’ music. This was in the year two thousand and fifteen. Around that time I was heart broken and deliriously confused about how to heal and how to allow myself to find actual true love. That’s when I became obsessed with reading different “Love guru” type articles. Articles written by the likes of Charles J. Orlando, Mathew Hussey, Stephan Labossiere and that’s just to name of few, but I’ve definitely dedicted a good portion of my twenties diving deep into the waters of “Love knowledge” and their respective educators. Sometimes I just sit there and transcribe their videos onto the notes of my phone. Yes… Hours of work that produced no monetary value whatsoever. ¿The culprit? My insatiable desire to learn about what this whole “I’m in love” thing actually means. Apart from what is my seemingly unhealthy fixation to listening to the same advice over and over again; In my blog “The Modern Charm” I like to write about my principles and self reflections, which are very important to me. I frequently travel back and forth from Cali, Colombia to the US. Originally, I was raised in Orlando, FL but was born in Cali. Through out my career, English has been my dominant language; Written and spoken but Spanish is my first language. I got to the US when I was two. And while I mainly try to work remotely, writing in my spare time on this blog means a lot to me. I’m also doing quite a bit of soul searching and character building along the way. I don’t quite have a social life, nor do I fancy having one. But I think pen pals are cool, so if you write to me about your trip to Colombia or any remote work experience for that matter, I’d love to hear about it. I also would love to be a second pair of eyes for your writing if you need one! Visit my contact page to submit your project request! Have a lovely rest of your day. Cheers xo – The Modern Charm
